BIG
OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT RULES
February 2nd 2008
1)
The tournament
is scheduled for Saturday, February 2nd, 2008, from Noon until
3:00 p.m.
2)
In the event
of weather cancellation, the Big Eagle Lake Improvement Association will
decide on another date or hold drawings at the landing the day of the
Contest.
3)
The Fishing
Contest (lime green tickets) and Prize Raffle (yellow tickets) are separate
events. Fishing Contest tickets
are $5.00 if purchased before February 1st
2008, $10.00 thereafter and the day
of. No refunds will be given
for any purpose.
4)
All fish
entered must be brought to the Prize Tent immediately and alive.
Dead or frozen fish are ineligible.
This is a catch and release contest.
Fish must be registered by rightful owner/possessor.
Contestants must check-in prior to the contest.
Contestants must have their Contest tickets visible at all times.
Contestants without a Contest ticket may not register fish. All
weigh-ins are photographed for security purposes.
The decision of the Board is final.
5)
Places are
determined by fish weight and time registered.
In the event of a tie, the first fish registered wins.
6)
You may
register as many fish as you want, but only the heaviest fish per contestant
will qualify for a competition prize (from lime green ticket).
No contestant will be eligible for more than one competition prize.
Taxes on prizes are the responsibility of the winner.
No cash substitutions.
No contestant sharing of prizes.
7)
Contestants
must have a Contest ticket for each hole fished.
Minnesota State Fishing Laws apply.
8)
Contestants
will be required to have their tickets visible at all times.
Ticket checks and bucket inspections will be performed.
9)
To qualify,
all fish must be registered prior to the calling of the end of the contest
(contestants waiting in line to register their fish will be included).
10)
Prizes that
require a contestant be of a certain age will need to have their parent
claim the prize or a substitution of equal value may be made.
11)
Heaters,
chairs, 5 gallon bait buckets and depth finders are allowed.
Ice chisels are recommended because the holes are drilled many hours
before the contest. No spears.
No underwater cameras or video equipment will be allowed.
No shelters will be allowed.
No ice augers will be allowed.
12)
Thermos
containers are permitted. Food
and beverage concessions will be available on the ice.
13)
No motorized
vehicles will be allowed in the contest area other than those used by
contest officials and police personnel.
Consequently, contestants must walk on the lake.
14)
Each person
attends the contest at their own risk.
The Big Eagle Lake Improvement Association and its’
agents/independent contractors will not be liable for any personal injuries
sustained by any person including those caused by negligence of the agents
or officers of the Big Eagle Lake Improvement Association.
15)
As part of
admission requirements, contestants agree that photographs or likenesses of
themselves may be used for future promotions without any further
compensation.
16)
The right to
refuse/revoke a Contest entry ticket to anyone is reserved.
17)
There will be
a leader board located in the Prize Tent.
All efforts will be made to keep the board up to date and accurate.
Tournament results remain unofficial until verified by the President
of the Big Eagle Lake Improvement Association.
18)
Members of the
Big Eagle Lake Improvement Association Board are not eligible for the
Contest prizes.
19)
Big Eagle Lake
Improvement Association would like to thank you for your efforts to respect
and protect the environment.
Please place your trash in the waste containers that are provided.
20)
Tickets:

Contest
Raffle Tickets- Yellow-
T.V. and Wii- $2.00
Door Prize Tickets-
Red-called every 20 minutes- $1.00
